Paul Miles. In August 2006 aged 47, weighing in at 15 stone and at only 5'10” I decided to have my version of a mid-life crisis, lose some weight and get fit. In February 2007 I bought a mountain bike and decided I would enter the 2008 New Year's Day Edinburgh Triathlon: That's when the madness gripped me! I'm now in my second season as a would-be triathlete and loving it. I'm fortunate in that I don't have a particular “strength” in one event so I train as hard as I can in all three. Beyond Triathlon When I'm not training you will find me running my kids to swimming (Brian once coached my daughter – she's still recovering!), athletics, rock climbing and all the rest! Occasionally I've been known to walk the dogs with my long-suffering wife, Pauline.
